Dementia Support and Assessment
Have you recently been diagnosed with dementia?
Do you or a family member have memory problems?
Are you caring for someone living with dementia ?
Do you want to learn the skills you may need to help you in your caring role?
I am an independent occupational therapist specialising in supporting people living with dementia.
As an Occupational therapist (OT) I can help you to overcome barriers and help you to take part in everyday activities. I can help you to do the things you want to do and help you to live well with dementia.
I started Still You to make a difference to the lives of people living with dementia and their families. Please get in touch to see how I can help.
What we do
Occupational Therapy Assessment
Following an initial telephone consultation, I will visit you and assess your strengths and difficulties. Together we will discuss plans and goals about what you want to achieve. I will support you with this for however long you wish.
We can provide one-to-one support that families need, either as a one off, or on a regular basis. When communication is difficult, distressed behaviour increases or things are getting tough, please contact us.
Essential Skills Groups
From January 2021 we are offering 3 dementia education/skills groups per month.
Our groups will be informal, you can decide what skills you want to learn each month, i.e. communication, personal care, ideas for activities, distressed behaviour, adjusting your home to make it dementia friendly.
